Christy Wilson, Gymnastics Instructor Comes to Gymnastics Beat from: Fresno, CA School Attended: Sophomore at Central High School Honors: Maintains a 3.0 Major Accomplishments: Christy came to Gymnastics Beat as an active volunteer during our camps, demonstrations, birthday parties and special events. She excelled at working with children that she was hired immediately. She first began gymnastics at the age of 4. By age 6, she was already working on back-walkovers and by age 8, back handsprings. Coaches were amazed by her talents and encouraged her to join a gymnastics competition team. She recently made the JV cheer squad at Central High as a tumbler, base, and a flyer. She is only one of two sophomores to make it onto the competition squad. Goals: Christy says the best thing about being a coach is teaching her students new skills and ensuring they are learning all while having fun. She plans to attend collage, perhaps in Idaho which is one of her favorite states to visit. Her interests would be in either becoming a physical therapist or a nurse. Cool Facts: She enjoys camping with her family, going to the movies, country music and 80’s rock. She has a niece, Brenna, and nephew, Jacob, 2, whom she loves dearly. Jacob enjoyed taking the mommy and me class with Christy for 3 months. He is now jumping off couches. Other Gymnastics Beat Employees:
