SUMMER & HOLIDAY CAMP!
Get your kids ready for FUN at Gymnastics Beat's Camps. Your child guaranteed to have a lot of fun and endless  excitement!   Our camp programs are geared to motivate your child to get active while participating in recreational activities throughout the day.  Camp will stimulate your child's mind, exercise their social skills, encourage personal development and foster a sense of well-being!

Parents - You will feel at ease dropping your child off knowing your child will:
-get a lot of exercise
       -have a lot of fun
       -participate in a variety of physical activities i.e. gymnastics, soccer, baseball, etc
       -make new friends
       -AND be very well supervised by our qualified staff

EXAMPLES OF WEEKLY CAMP ACTIVITIES:

WEEK 1:   ACTIVITY: GYMNASTICS

Every day we are going to work on different apparatus. Each camper will be challenged at their ability level to learn and grow in the basics of tumbling, balance, and strength moves for the Vault, Parallel and Uneven bars, Balance beam, Rings, and Floor exercise.

WEEK 2:  ACTIVITY:  TUMBLE TO THE BEAT
This week campers will be brought through the process of creating a gymnastics routine. We will work on choosing the apparatus to be used, what types of moves they are able to perform on that apparatus, choosing and using music to enhance the performance, and the reasoning for memorizing and practice rather than just making something up.  The ultimate goal of the week is to be able to perform their routine at the end of the week!

WEEK 3:  ACTIVITY:  URBAN GYMNASTICS
Campers will learn beginning level stunts, parkour, and flips all in our safe gym environment!  We'll go through obstacle courses, and learn how to be agile like the stuntment in James Bond or Jackie Chan movies!!

WEEK 4:  ACTIVITY:  CIRQUE DU GYMBEAT

Have you ever wanted to be a clown? How about an acrobat? This week we will have some of our Acro team come in and show the campers what it means to perform cirque du Gymbeat style. We will be learning how to walk on stilts, what our clown faces are, Juggle, balance things on our hands or fingers or even our noses. What other jobs are there at a circus? Animal trainer, STRONG MAN, Acrobats, and what about the person front and center, the barker. We are going to decide who we are and create a circus and perform on Friday.

WEEK 5:  ACTIVITY:  LINE DANCING
This week we are going to teach the campers some of the more famous and fun circle and line dances: The Macarena, the Hokey Pokey, the Chicken dance, YMCA, the Electric slide, and more. We will also choose a popular song and spend the rest of the week working on creating a video. Check out last years on youtube.com and search for osbeaver69.

WEEK 6:  ACTIVITY:  TRAMPOLINE
Did you know there is a sport of trampolining? WE DO! We are going to be focusing on teaching the basic rules involved in trampolining. We will also be showing the campers how to use the tumble track to help them learn new tricks. We will have a basic routine for each camper to learn and challenge them to create their own routine that can be performed on Friday.

WEEK 7:  ACTIVITY:  DUNK WEEK
Not tall enough to dunk a basketball? We have a secret that will help you get up there and slam it through the rim. We will have some special guests come in and help us learn how to jump high off the mini tramp and dunk the basketball. Maybe you can even learn how to do a 360 spin to dunk. Also, we will challenge a small group to try and make up a routine like the guys from Acro-dunk (without all of the flips).

WEEK 8:  ACTIVITY:  WATER PLAY
We are going to play games, play games, and play more games that will get us wet. Pass the sponge, the holey bucket pass, water balloon toss. But what are the secrets to winning these games. The campers will learn them here and be the champions of any summer BBQ you go to. We will also be setting up the pool and spray stations to cool off from the late summer heat!
